IOCOM announces availability of the IG3 Video collaboration software

Many new features in newest IG release

December 19, 2007 // Chicago – IOCOM is proud to announce the latest release of its flagship software product the IOCOM Grid 3 or "IG3". The development around the IG3 release was based on extensive customer and industry feedback. The release also maintains the immersive tool set included in the already successful previous versions. The IOCOM Grid is a software based, multipoint video, audio and data sharing system that scales seamlessly from laptops and desktops to high end tele-presence room end points. The extensive tool set includes multipoint video and audio, web conferencing, file sharing, chat, presence engine, scheduler, phone dial in and out, inherent NAT and firewall traversal and record and playback capabilities. Newer additions to the IG3 are listed below.

New Features Include:

• High Definition video can be transmitted with supported video capture devices
• Video windows can now be drag resized to any desired size
• New and advanced IGClient User Interface is now "skin-able" and can be customized to user wants
• Meeting moderators may "eject" or "ban" sites from meetings or disable audio or video from being transmitted from specified sites
• IGClient observes limits set by server administrator for greater control of network and end points
• When software upgrades are available endpoints will be notified automatically
• Desktop capture devices are now configurable to auto-transmit upon joining meetings
• Updated and advanced distributed whiteboard
• IGClient determines systems capabilities (e.g. CPU) upon joining a meeting and warns if selected codec may affect system performance
• Other various enhancements
