August 27, 2007 // Antigonish, Nova Scotia – IOCOM, a Chicago based collaboration software accompany recently deployed a multi-site solution for the Center for Public Policy and Governance Research (CPPGR). The center, based at ST. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, will use several desktop nodes for project wide collaborations. CPPGR is making use of ACEnet’s IG2 server for the project’s duration and will connect various working groups with the video, audio and data sharing system. About CPPGR: The center is a dedicated research facility consisting of interview rooms and a computer lab for qualitative and quantitative data analysis and policy research. Working groups include: the ACFN, or Aboriginal Communities, Food and Nutrition; the GRCH or Gender, Race, Class Health Research Group; and the SDM or Sea-dumped Munitions working group.
