June 26, 2008 // Aberdeen – IOCOM joined preferred affiliate Impact Marcom in a presentation from Aberdeen, Scotland to show how the oil & gas industry uses IOCOM to advance visual communications throughout worldwide operations. Current and potential energy industry customers joined the live demonstration via IOCOM Visual Communication conference rooms at the Impact Marcom offices in London and IOCOM portable systems at the Rica Forum Hotel in Stavanger, Norway.
"Energy industry companies are starting to realize how collaboration technology can transform global upstream and downstream operations," said John Harrison of IOCOM.
Impact Marcom demonstrated how the Audio-Visual (AV) industry has moved over the years from conference room presentation tools to teleconferencing and Video TeleConferencing tools to true collaboration capability with IOCOM.
